Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and Crimes Against Humanity
I have always emphasized, in my writings and interviews, that I oppose any military strike on Iran. No country has a right to invade Iran militarily under any pretext whatsoever. I have also repeatedly said that I oppose any sanctions that would inflict pain and suffering on the Iranian people. As far as I can fathom, economic sanctions only increase pain and suffering, and may even lead to the death of thousands of people. Now, more than ever, I grapple with suggesting ways by which Western governments could possibly help the people of Iran while simultaneously avoiding military action and further economic sanctions.
